Job description

The Fitness Club Attendant will provide guest service while maintaining cleanliness of the Fitness Center. The selected candidate must be willing to work any shift between the hours of 5am-10pm and be flexible to work weekends and holidays.

• Always ensures fitness equipment is in proper working order and maintains effective operation of fitness rooms, locker facilities, reception area, steam rooms, saunas and jacuzzis.
• Appropriately dispenses towels, robes, slippers and refreshments to guests; removes and stores dirty linens according to procedures.
• Regularly instructs guests on safe and appropriate use of equipment.
• Consistently ensures cleanliness of all fitness areas. Cleans fitness equipment daily.
• Graciously greets guests and approves eligibility to use facility, answers telephones promptly, and schedules appointments.
• Accurately handles all cash transactions, uses correct server number and follows opening and closing procedures.
• Accurately records and verifies complimentaries and gift cards.
• Monitors locker rooms and restocks supplies on a regular basis.
• Effectively ensures proper operation of Fitness area, locker rooms and lounge.
• Promptly greets all guests upon entering Fitness Club area.
• Always observes Fitness Club area takes steps to rectify situations which could affect guest safety or satisfaction.
• Always stays alert for emergency situations which may arise. Performs first aid correctly and in accordance with Emergency Procedures.
• Consistently ensures proper placement and upkeep of first aid equipment.
• Keeps poolside furniture neatly arranged.
• Ensures proper coverage before leaving desk/locker room area if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Some secondary education or training in physical education, fitness or related field required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
