What You’ll Do
This role is being advertised in multiple locations; there is flexibility on location.
As the Finance Business Manager of the South Atlantic Coast, you will partner with General Manager and Regional Leaders to drive commercial strategy focused on execution of financial results. You will be responsible for supporting the strategic commercial plan to expand placement of existing and new products. Other duties will include:
Participates in commercial account and sales meetings – reviews and supports pricing decisions
Involved in commercial negotiations to ensure alignment with business case, delegation of authority, and strategy
Customer bid and tender requirements; serve as the project manager to ensure timely and high-quality submittals
Financial accountability for projects and initiatives, including new customer contract implementation
Finance business partner for sales and account managers’ performance relative to budget, targets, and KPIs
Financial oversight and participation in the regional strategie
Provide comprehensive variance analysis, including identification of gaps, trends and opportunities within the business and recommendations for possible course corrections necessary to achieve financial targets
Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Analysis tool
Preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts across the regions
Provides passionate and participative leadership in the achievement of Zero Harm
Inspire and motivate commitment to the organization’s vision, values, purpose, and direction
Engage with credit manager to evaluate/monitor overall customer credit risk
Ensure proper inventory management processes and ensure operational teams are performing cycle counts and adequately accounting for obsolete and slow-moving inventory
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. Master's preferred. Additional directly related work experience may be substituted for some of the educational requirements.
Proven experience with bid and proposal tenders, and execution of commercial contracts, and/or project management. Explosives, Mining or Construction Industry experience helpful but not required.
5+ years working experience with progressively increasing professional responsibility.
Advanced people management skills including leadership, performance management, and coaching.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Work PowerPoint), SAP, and Salesforce
Ability to travel up to 30%
