Morrow Energy is looking to add to our growing team in Chester, VA at our Swift Creek Renewables location!

Job Summary:

Field Technicians play an essential role in the compliance management and optimization of a landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS). This system consists of a vast array of extraction wells connected via HDPE piping to our gas processing facility. It is the responsibility of the field technician to ensure that this system is balanced by utilizing state-of-the-art analytical equipment and problem-solving procedures. Field technicians will find themselves working outdoors on the landfill, working with data entry and numbers, operating field equipment, including an ATV vehicle and gas chromatograph.

Key Responsibilities:

· Understand wellfield hazards and operate in a safe manner

· Understand and implement factors that affect well flow

· Liquid levels, supply vacuum, chemical composition, differential, etc.

· Adhere to and understand wellfield balancing procedures

· Utilize historical data to make educated decisions

· Assist in wellfield drills and expansion as directed by Field Manager

· Keep equipment clean and functional

· Includes ATV, hand tools, and gas chromatograph

· Communicate daily with other technicians, as well as field manager

· Communicate all GCCS problems or concerns with field manager

· Trace and diagnose problems in the wellfield

· Being ready for any call outs

· Uphold site Standard Operating Procedures

· Build and maintain data entry logs

· Provide insight during daily field technician meetings

Position Requirements:

· Ability to work overtime, on-call and weekends when needed

· Must be able to travel to Houston for 1 month to train

· The ability to travel when needed (a few days a month on average)

· Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check (must have a clean driving record)

· High School Diploma/GED or equivalent (College Degree Preferred Engineering/Science)

· Ability to operate ATV

· Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S.

· Experience with analytical equipment and data is a plus but not required

· A technical degree or background is a plus but not required

· Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds on occasion

· Required to work outdoors approximately 90% of each workday. Work involves exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements.

· Required to walk over steep and rough terrain for considerable distances daily

· Comfortable working in a Landfill Environment, and around moving Heavy Equipment

· Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time

· Extensive visual and auditory observation during work

· Write and read job-related notes via email, etc.

· All PPE (excluding boots, a voucher is provided to purchase your own) and equipment will be provided to complete each task successfully

· Some level of mechanical aptitude is also recommended as there will be some mechanical troubleshooting involved

· Knowledge and comfortability with concepts such as pressure, temperature, chemical composition, and flow are essential to the function of this role.

· Experience in a lab or data driven role utilizing analytical equipment is a plus but not required

Position: Field Technician

Pay:

· $20.00/hr.

Standard Operating Days/Hours:

· Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (not to exclude weekends, overtime and rotating on-call)
