The Certified Field Technician III is responsible for the staging, assembly, preventative maintenance, training, and service on Lottery equipment both in our facility and at the customer location. This position will provide on-site training to customer on all Lottery equipment to provide them understanding of equipment usage and functionality. This position will travel to retail locations and may require overnight trips to different site locations.

POSITION REQUIRES 50% OUT OF STATE, OVERNIGHT TRAVEL.

Pay: $24.00

Schedule: Varies but mostly Monday through Friday with some weekend and overtime work

Job Functions:

  • Stage, assemble, and maintain all lottery equipment in accordance with the Field Service Standards and procedures.
  • Ability to perform extensive field repair functions with little or no supervision
  • Ability to perform diagnosis for scheduled and unscheduled service calls
  • Ability to interact with customers, retailers, and management
  • Ability to train retail employees on the functionality on all lottery equipment in classroom setting and on site.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment
  • Ability to operate a Smart Services phone
  • Ability to communicate problems with management via documentation and analytics
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and repair any lottery equipment problems in accordance to the Field Service Protocol
  • Ability to complete site surveys from a field service perspective as well as a marketing placement aspect
  • Ability to learn and have an understanding of our Instant Product line
  • Ability to assist the retail location with any questions or concerns they have with our equipment
  • Ability to communicate any new features, games, or product that is supported
  • Ability to perform vehicle management on their company-provided vehicle
  • Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance to SG’s Motor Vehicle Policy
  • Work with other departments in support of site sales and support goals
  • Travel to lottery locations and corporate locations on an as needed basis
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Must be ok with 50% out of state, overnight travel?

Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of all areas of computer software and hardware technologies
  • Must have strong communication, group presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to convey thoughts, ideas and training materials to all participants.
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to compile and analyze statistical information
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state in which you are based
  • Advanced mechanical assembly skills
  • Strong problem solving and resolution skills
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs
  • Ability to work in a team-office environment
  • Ability to operate office equipment, but not limited to, personal computer and telephone
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, stretch at a minimum of 50% of the time for any or all of the movements described
