What will I be doing?

As an Executive Senior Attorney for the Bureau of Administrative Reviews (BAR), the incumbent will serve as a regional Field Office Manager for four BAR offices located in Pensacola, Tallahassee, Clearwater, and Tampa. The Field Officer Manager reports to the Deputy Chief Counsel of BAR. This position will manage day-to-day office operations at these offices to include oversight of caseloads, oversight of business functions, and supervision of both attorney and non-attorney staff. An ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and will utilize effective management techniques to ensure efficient operations, well-trained and productive staff, and delivery of quality customer service.

Additional duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting the hiring, onboarding and offboarding of BAR staff.
  • Oversight and implementation of corrective efforts and process improvements to remedy identified operational inefficiencies at field offices.
  • Collection of office data and records for reports.
  • Conducting formal review hearings and other types of hearings that are escalated to management due to complexity of the case.

  • Be able to effectively manage a busy workload, be productive in an environment with regular interruptions, and meet designated timeframes without compromising attention to detail or customer service.
