Job Duties:
  • The FFPSA Program Manager manages the overall implementation of the Family First Prevention Services Act. This position works with staff and community partners to identify service gaps and cultivate and expand the service array for children and families. This includes building partnerships with community providers and public and/or private providers, managing service array contracting processes, and leading efforts to embed knowledge and implementation of services across the state. This position will work closely with internal teams to develop the infrastructure required for the implementation of the Federal Prevention Plan.

  • Manages and oversees the implementation of the Family First Prevention Services Act.

  • Maintains expert knowledge of available services to support children, youth, and families, especially evidence based practices. Uses that knowledge to identify, develop or secure and implement needed services in South Carolina, including any necessary coordination, referral processes, or implementation practices.

  • Leads a team in managing the implementation of a comprehensive service array that supports children, youth and families involved with the Department, including management of contracts, referral processes, IT system development and data management.

  • Works collaboratively with staff, stakeholders and the provider community to identify service array gaps and then develop programs that support children, youth and families involved with the Department.

  • Will be required to perform Red Cross shelter/emergency response duties as directed.

A Bachelor's Degree and five (5)) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services or public administration.

A Master's Degree and four (4) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services or public administration.

Supervisory experience preferred.
