Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary is currently seeking a Family Service Advisor to join the Hillside team in Los Angeles, California. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with families, arranging their cemetery and mortuary plans before time of need. This position works one on one with our families and requires a desire to provide the highest level of service, ensuring all details exceed expectations. Responsibilities include providing callers and visitors with information regarding available options, collaboration with other departments in preparation for meetings with time of need families, contract and document research, memorial marker planning, aftercare follow up, CRM software management, and other duties as assigned. This is not a sales position.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate with empathy and sincerity
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to exercise sound judgment, privacy and confidentiality
Must have a high comfort level and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks. Must be able to switch gears quickly
Demonstrated ability to act with a high degree of initiative
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Positive, professional attitude and demeanor
College degree preferred but not required

This position must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays per the rotation schedule. The hours for this position are 8:30-5:00. Remote work is not available due to the essential functions of this position.

Full training and a competitive benefit package is provided. The rate of pay for this position is $28.85/hour and is eligible for an increase after successful completion of the 90 day training program and is able to perform the role as a Family Service Advisor independently.
