Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

As a Q Automatic Factory Leader at Lantech, you will:

• Lead team leaders / production associates to produce Q Automatic equipment safely, with the highest quality, delivered on time to the customer / next process per production schedules.
• Ensure a safe work environment and adherence to safety regulations where team members can be successful.
• Take initiative daily to maintain current condition to ensure associates have what they need each day.
• Ensure standard work and standard processes are maintained and followed.
• Guarantee adherence to shipping schedules.
• Observe shop floor activities with regard to schedule delays.
• Take action quickly on production downtime, quality issues, and part shortages to ensure appropriate steps are taken to capture and correct the condition.
• Teach LEAN philosophy and lead workshop events for team leaders and associates.
• Prepare JOB's, interviewing and staffing line for success.
• Authorize expenditures within spending limits and budgets.
• Conduct performance appraisals and evaluations for salary recommendations.
• Resolve conflicts, problems and performance gaps and initiates appropriate performance management action to address.
• Enlist the support of team members to achieve department goals, adherence to policies and best practices in support of Lantech's vision and culture.

What are We Looking For? (Requirements)

We are looking for someone who:

• Must have a history of good interaction / communication with associates
• Must have exceptional performance demonstration, modeling Key Principles in current role
• Proven history to have led a team that is stable related to retention and quality output of work and support for schedule adherence.
• Must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Lantech Production system (LEAN) and have participated in at least one workshop
• Must be a change agent with a tenacious ability and passion to lead on-going continuous improvement initiatives.
• Safety, quality and customer focus required.
• Must have proven "Problem Solving" experience stemming from Quality Loop board
• Potential for future leadership and promotability.
• Is able to stand for 9.5 hours each day.
• Is able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Is willing and able to work overtime as needed to complete projects and production deadlines.
• Is able to read and follow instructions in English (standardized work).
• Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Knows safety equipment and is aware of machine safety procedures
• Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Is willing and able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
• Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Education & Experience:

• Must have a minimum of two years manufacturing or engineering leadership experience
• Production background is strongly preferred.
• Machine operation experience is a plus.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent. College degree is preferred. Emphasis in engineering is preferred
