Job Description Summary


Responsible for building maintenance and maintenance of Fire, Life and Building Safety Training files for the ACGC Department and Master Training lists for ACGC Employees. Responsible for all maintenance work orders.Works with the Sr. Director of Administration to ensure OSHA Safety procedures are being followed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)


  • Coordinate and conduct and maintain records on all fire, life and safety training
  • Maintain fire, life, and safety/OSHA training manuals. Update fire, life and safety maps and distribute throughout the ACGC
  • Ensure and coordinate annual testing on fire, life and safety equipment; e .g. risers, Gaylord, fire extinguishers, fire panel, etc.)
  • Maintains order and re-supply first-aid stations and other fire, life and safety equipment.
  • Ensure safety inspections throughout property are completed as required.
  • Perform mandated CPR, AED and First Aid training.
  • Member of Risk Management Committee.
  • Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the ACGC System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for all timely and accurate documentation of all repairs and preventive maintenance reports
  • Creates Tribal Facilities Work Orders and analyze the issue, determines a resolution and timely implementation.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands


To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and, including walking, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions to include extreme heat and cold weather. Will be housed in an office environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.

Education and/or Experience


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of advanced education or combination of advanced education and law enforcement investigative experience.
