Responsibilities

The Facilities Manager is responsible for all maintenance and housekeeping duties. They must be qualified to interact with patients in a courteous manner and be organized and orderly in their work habits.  The Facilities Manager is also responsible for the upkeep of the outside grounds, parking lots, lawns, and gardens. Our Facilities Manager will:

  • Assure that the facility is clean and well maintained and that the needs of the residents are met in a timely fashion
  • Oversee housekeeping and laundry operations for the residence: make and update schedules, assure all spaced are regularly cleaned and that patients have housekeeping/laundry as needed
  • Supervise housekeeping staff including interview and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
  • Receive, prioritize, distribute, and carry out work orders for maintenance
  • Manage vendor bids and work, including monitoring the quality of services performed by outside contractors, including for pest control, trash pickup, systems testing, etc.
  • Establish and carry out preventive maintenance schedule for all systems in the building; ensure that all common area carpets, windows and furniture are cleaned; oversee exterior upkeep of building including snow removal; and ensure maintenance of the van - that it is clean and ready and that drivers meet all requirements
  • Oversee all keying issues for building and control all keys
  • Oversee storage of all items in the building
  • Maintain inventory and records of maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry supplies, tools and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records that include serial numbers, current contracts, warranties, and service manuals on all equipment and building related systems
  • Create emergency action plan and fire evacuation procedure for the residence, carry out drills, and assure that all residents know what to do in case of emergency
  • Provide 24 hour/7 days/week on call beeper coverage for building emergencies
  • Provide “manager on duty” coverage as directed
  • Continuously improve systems and processes
  • Work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management and vendors
  • Do additional duties as assigned
  • Report directly to the Assistant Executive Director

Qualifications

  • HS, GED or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Facilities Manager
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with personnel management is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Personal passion or interest in substance abuse issues strongly preferred
  • Commitment to drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use is essential
  • Authorization to work in the US is required

Location: Wintersville, OH

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with 24/7 on call coverage

Compensation is $60k-$70k+ Benefits (Vision, Medical, Dental, Life, 401K, Paid Time Off, Family Leave).
