Job description

Owera Vineyards is seeking a part-time seasonal Facilities Maintenance employee through October 2021 for our Vineyard in Cazenovia, New York. This employee will assist with daily maintenance of internal facilities and external grounds including vineyard, orchard and events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assists in daily activities of the facility and grounds

· Assist with inventory levels and inform manager for ordering supplies as needed

· Works collaboratively with Events and Production staff to ensure proper coordination of events, inventory, and other tasks as required

· Works collaboratively with the Winemaker; bottling, harvest and maintenance needs

· Works collaboratively with maintenance with planting, weeding and harvest

· Assist with vine maintenance to include pruning, fertilizing, spraying, etc., as needed or required

· Assist with orchard maintenance to include pruning and harvest as beeded

· Must be able to work weekends events

· Assists with safety efforts including maintaining OSHA compliance requirements

· Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position

· Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

· High School Diploma and/or related work experience preferred

Experience/Skills:

· Familiar with farm equipment, fork lift and the use all hand tools and power tools

· General trade skills a plus

· Highly motivated and able to work independently

· Committed to providing excellent customer service

· Successfully manage multiple tasks/projects, meeting defined deadlines

· Ability to work effectively and efficiently with team members and outside vendors or contractors
