Job starting beginning of April.
We are looking for someone to live preferably onsite and oversee facilities management and maintenance for a large event venue with over 5 buildings and our 7 employee housing units across a ranch in Wolcott, CO. We provide both small and large-scale contracted events from weddings to corporate events and also public events such as wagon/sleigh ride dinners.
Areas of responsibility include maintenance and repair, custodial services, building safety, and grounds. The ranch has its own onsite water treatment/distribution plant and wastewater infrastructure which the Facilities Manager will oversee and manage upgrades necessary. The Facilities Manager will perform basic maintenance and repair projects and then oversee and coordinate more extensive projects working with outside contractors, which may include plumbing, heating, electric, refrigeration, air conditioning, preventive maintenance and repair, water plant functions, and construction projects.
We are looking for the general “handyman” type to keep the ranch facilities in tip-top shape especially during the winter and summer months when operations are at a peak. Must be a team player. This person must also be adept at handling difficult or stressful situations that may arise while coordinating and executing service. Most importantly, this position will be key to maintaining the 4ER vision by adhering to our values of teamwork, servant leadership, and a high standard of ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides building and grounds maintenance and custodial responsibilities.
- Works with the Food & Beverage and Sales Directors to address various facilities requirements for contracted events.
- Works with the Lodging Manager to address various facility issues and needs
- Works with the ranch hand that has responsibility for the pasture irrigation system and the ranch horses and livestock
- Serves as the emergency ‘after-hours’ contact using a company-provided phone.
- Manage the onsite water treatment and wastewater systems and associated inspection and reporting requirements
- Develops and execute a preventive maintenance program for all infrastructure
and equipment - Ensures that the ranch is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
- Oversees and supervises the quality of work for employees/contractors to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
- Quality checks completed work by vendors and contractors.
- Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility modifications.
- Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.
