Your Role With Us:

The Facilities Dev Project Consultant provides ideas and leadership in the development of processes, techniques and the use of tools to standardize, optimize and manage projects for the Facilities Department. Expertise in the use of project management tools, critical thinking, regulatory compliance, and health care building systems and infrastructure is essential. Coordinates project work with Salem Health Departments and Contractor/Vendor’s involved. Includes developing assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project. Oversees construction equipment installation, renovation and redesign projects. Investigates and resolves problems arising from construction or changes in existing buildings. Solves complex problems: takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently: receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Background/Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required OR additional relative experience may be substituted for formal education at the rate of two (2) years of experience for each year of education deficiency.
  • Degree in construction management, project, management, engineering, or other related field preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years project management experience required, ten (10) years preferred. Healthcare construction management experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in Healthcare. Can be a combination of internal health care and as an outside consultant to a healthcare organization.
  • Certification as Healthcare Constructor within one (1) year of hire
  • Experience in procurement and budget management preferred
  • Management of MEPF, BMS, and associate systems commissioning preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage data tracking tools, collate and analyze data and interpret and graph results.
  • Intermediate proficiency with software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.
  • Demonstrates organization and good follow-through.
