Executive Personal Assistant to Agent Owner - AGENCY

The Executive Personal Assistant is a staff member of the Agency and not an employee of American Family Insurance.

Objective
The Executive Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Agency Owner.

Office Operations

  • Work directly with Agent to support all aspects of daily work routine
  • Maintain Agent’s calendar, including scheduling appointments
  • Compose and prepare letters relating to routine correspondence
  • Maintain paper and electronic filing systems
  • Maintain and distribute agency reports
  • Coordinates overall administrative activities
  • Maintains office supply and equipment inventory levels
  • Oversees training and continuing education requirements
  • Social Media Experience

Education/Licenses/Designation

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • High School Diploma

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience with bookkeeping and record keeping
  • Experience with building relationships
  • Experience with PC software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suites, PowerPoint, Excel

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience office management experience
  • Experience with financial software, such as QuickBooks, Quicken
  • Previous supervision experience
  • Knowledge of insurance concepts and principles, licenses preferred

Working Conditions

  • Non-typical schedules (evenings or weekends) may be necessary on occasion
  • General office setting - Mon – Fri afternoon hours approx 20-25 hours per week
