Position Title: Executive Pastor

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Hours: Full time/Exempt
Position Summary:
The Life Center (TLC), a growing non-denomination church, in Atlanta, GA, is looking for an Executive Pastor.

Overview

The Executive Pastor is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of church and ministry leaders (pastors, elders, and department leaders), leading all functional areas in the accomplishment of the church’s mission. This includes pastoral care, arts, outreach, education and training, and ministry areas.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Leader in the accomplishment of the church’s mission through ministry effectiveness evaluation, discernment, decision making, planning, and overall direction of the church staff.
  • Lead the church leadership in the establishment and ongoing direction of ministries that effectively reach the church’s demographic, ensuring the accomplishment of the overall mission.
  • Oversee church leaders to ensure the stated vision and direction of the church isimplemented consistently and graciously in the entire Life Center Ministries.
  • Mentor key departmental leaders to grow church staff to become gifted leaders in their areas.
  • Assess the current needs of the congregation and opportunities for growing the church and work with the pastors and other leaders to develop appropriate ministry initiatives.
  • Champion the development of systems, procedures, and training for all church, ministry, and support areas that supports healthy, long-term growth of the church.
  • Establish and maintain a set of key performance measures (KPMs) that provide the Senior Leader and church staff with ongoing visibility of the effectiveness of all functional areas of the church and ministry.
  • Participate in the annual strategic planning process including evaluation of church and ministry performance; review of mission, vision, and core values; development of key objectives and tactics; and establishment of three-year goals.
  • Champion the development of infrastructure by all ministries and support areas that support the healthy, long-term growth of the church.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant pastoral/ministry experience.
  • Must have a proven track record of effective leadership, judgment, and above reproach character.
  • Spiritually mature.
  • An excellent communicator, with highly developed listening skills and effective oral and written communication.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Good time management.
  • Expert interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.
  • Proficient multi-tasking skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
