We Are Seeking: We are currently seeking an outstanding individual to join our team as Executive Director in our Tuscan Gardens Palm Coast Community. The Executive Director is responsible for planning and directing all day-to-day functions of the Assisted Living Community in accordance with applicable company, federal, state, and local standards to promote that the highest degree of quality care is provided to its residents.

Where You Will Be: You will be serving as Executive Director for our beautiful community in Palm Coast, Florida which will consist of 130 suites in a magnificent 130,000 square foot building. The gorgeous Community boasts beautiful furnishings, lush vegetation, and gorgeous finishes.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan, organize, develop, and lead the overall operation of Assisted Living and Memory Care in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Provide direction and support for the Marketing and Clinical team to ensure a successful resident move-in experience.
  • Communicate directly with Residents, Families and Physicians, as needed, to ensure clear understanding of the needs and expectations of the Resident.
  • Assists with the development of the Community’s organizational structure and articulates the roles of department heads within that structure.
  • Develop good relationships with state and local regulators, the community families, and residents on behalf of the Company and Community.
  • Represent the Community both internally and to the public including governmental agencies, third party payers, and the general population. Work harmoniously with the community's other department managers concerning level of care transitions and general communication as well as all other interactions that promote an efficient and effective overall community operation.
  • Assist with the development and administration of Community’s overall budget process such that accurate forecasting of expenses and cost control result. Ensure that adequate financial records and reports are prepared and submitted.
  • Ensure that an adequate number of appropriately trained professional and support personnel are on duty at all times to meet the needs of the residents and that their training is completed and maintained according to state regulations.
  • Abide by established policies including maintaining confidentiality as appropriate.
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of current and evolving state laws and regulations, policies and procedures dictated for residents and attain 100% compliance.
  • Schedule, promote and facilitate in-service training and department meetings.
  • Support the Health Services Director in interviewing, hiring, evaluation and termination of all direct care staff. Ensure direct care staff follows company policies and provides the highest standard of care to the residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate residents to ensure continued residency is appropriate.
  • Participate and facilitate AT Risk meetings with all third parties providing care to residents. Visit community on all three shifts periodically to offer training and oversight to direct and monitor staff.
  • Lead, mentor and manage Associates and immediate leadership team who oversee additional team members in the community. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of key departments. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, mentoring team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performances and evaluations.
  • Clear communicator who administers a thoughtful tone and professional delivery.
  • Interact with guests, residents, their families, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Respond promptly to resident needs.
  • Support organization's goals and values.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • 3-5 years Executive Director experience in a Senior Living Community required.
  • Must meet state requirements for certified administrator.
  • Previous experience in supervising a retirement community or long-term care facility required.
  • Previous experience in sales and marketing is a plus.
  • Must possess current and valid Florida driver’s license consistent with the requirements determined by size of vehicle and laws of the state of Florida.
  • Must demonstrate a passion for working with a senior population.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to delegate assignments and follow up as needed for results.
  • Competent in organizational, time management skills.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
