About the Opportunity
We're looking for an Intermediate Event Planner to support the team’s mission to provide innovative and strategic meeting and event services to internal and external partners which results in quality standards, strong partnerships and increased awareness of our role as a regional Reserve Bank. You will plan, manage, and coordinate public outreach, System, Bank, division, department, internal, and/or external events that are generally of a high profile and often include broad and diverse audiences both in-person, virtually and hybrid. You will develop and support events communication efforts, schedule programming, and ensure event spaces and virtual technology meet requirements and current protocols. You will report into the Meeting and Events Manager.
What You Will Do:
  • Assess the relevance and effectiveness of programming and recommends and implements changes as appropriate
  • Provide technical support for virtual and hybrid meetings and events across multiple platforms, having the ability to help clients with selecting the best platform to meet their needs
  • Keep up with changes, feature additions/updates, and any new product options to all virtual conferencing platforms to ensure ability to provide best advice to clients
  • Maintain a basic knowledge of and ability to connect to integrated audio-visual equipment in meeting rooms and conference centers to support all in-person and hybrid meetings
  • Provide updates to leadership regarding event issues, changes, new developments, and potential conflicts of interest and make recommendations for methods to resolve or prevent issues
  • Ensure proper financial/ procurement approval, review, and verification practices are met and align with organizational policy and legal requirements
  • Maintain and track event budgets, expenditures, and/or invoices; complete and finalize reporting and documentation for leadership and managers as required
  • Coordinate the work and manage schedules to maintain customer service levels and support for physical and virtual meetings
  • Ensure staff and volunteers are apprised of proper protocol; provide guidance and training as required
  • Assist Senior Planner with supporting onsite events, including escorting, place cards, name tags, table tents, room set ups, registration desk, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • CMP preferred
  • Organizational problem-solving and analytical skills to advise clients on AV system, program production and basic computer capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral communication skills are required for interaction with various audiences and executives throughout the Federal Reserve System.
  • Must possess proven problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and a strong desire to help others.
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision, capable of multitasking and managing time and multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to embrace changing circumstances and handle appropriately.

  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications/experience.
  • The hiring range of the Event Planner - Intermediate is $55,100 - $68,900, annually
