Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) is the leading animal shelter for the cities of Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Canyon Lake and Wildomar, and small parts of Riverside County. We provide top-quality animal welfare and animal control services for our client cities. We were selected as a 2021 California Non-Profit of the Year for our continuing efforts to prevent the suffering of animals and ending pet overpopulation in the cities we serve. Who we’re looking for:
EVENTS MANAGER
What you will be doing:
- Plan, schedule and supervise fundraising and community events
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners
- Direct event timelines to ensure smooth execution of quality events
- Attends civic, business and social events with Director of Development
- Actively recruit sponsors for various fundraisers
- Assist the Marketing Media Coordinator with social media promotions and content
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years experience planning, organizing and executing high profile events
- Ability to work independently to plan and execute high profile events
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and complete multiple projects
- Flexibility in schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to resolve issues that occur at events
