Operating as AgCarolina Farm Credit (ACA), the merged entity would be the largest ag lending cooperative operating solely in North Carolina with a local presence throughout the territory. The Association would begin with approximately $3.1 billion in gross loan volume, serving more than 6,000 members.

Job Summary

AgCarolina has an immediate opening for an Evaluator located within the Eastern region of NC.

The Evaluator will be responsible for completing evaluations of real estate and personal property loan collateral following sound appraisal principles and valuation techniques. Some travel will be required to attend appraisal seminars, schools, and continuing education. Collect, verify and document sales and other market data. Responsible for obtaining, analyzing and maintaining sales, building costs and chattel database. Assist appraisers with property inspections, plats, review of proposed property improvements and other appraisal duties. Responsibilities also include the ability to provide clear written and verbal communication of findings and recommendations of values. Must be able to meet deadlines and reporting requirements.

Our preferred candidate has an Associates degree in business, finance, accounting or related fields. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, be willing to take appraisal education courses in a timely manner, and have good organization, planning and communication skills. A general knowledge of agriculture to apply during inspections of real estate and equipment is preferred. Knowledge of the principles of real estate appraisal and application of the three approaches to value as well as Federal, State, and local laws affecting real estate and chattel values preferred. Travel will be required within our territory for inspection.

Location: Flexible within Eastern region of NC
