Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:


Specific Job Duties:

Etch Equipment supervisor is responsible for managing equipment activity on shift. This includes PM execution, Improving hold to release time for ERD and FDC interlock, establishing shift equipment priorities, coordinating and communicating with Leadership and Manufacturing on equipment status and progress to plan, and Improving TAT on PMs to qualification state. There are key focus areas for supervisors around staff development, generating ideas and implementing plans to develop and improve department metrics. Etch equipment supervisors are the front line support for Equipment Technicians through training, mentoring, coaching, shift staffing and problem resolution.
High energy with a focus on Quality and attention to detail is required. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

  • Compliance with site safety procedures.
  • Single point of contact for Equipment Issues on shift.
  • Responsible for technicians training and development.
  • Single point of contact for issue escalation.
  • Work with other team members to develop consistent protocols across all shifts.
  • Provide constructive performance and development feedback to technicians.
  • Technician performance management.
  • Shift PM Planning an execution.
  • Shift Improvement through LEAN principles

Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required:

  • Two-year technical degree, equivalent military experience, and/or 5+ years direct applicable Etch semiconductor experience in high volume manufacturing environment.
  • 300mm Dry Etch experience and previous Leadership experience/role highly desired.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:

  • Familiarity with LAM, SEMES, AMAT, TEL, Mattson, and/or PSK platforms preferred.
  • Highly capable in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must have strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment.
  • High level of initiative and desire to learn.
  • Familiar with TPM, 5S and LEAN methodologies.
  • Successful candidates will be detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, teamwork and flexibility.
  • Ability to meet due dates for action items.
  • Experience in leading teams.
  • Project management experience desired.
  • Demonstrate aptitude to quickly learn Samsung proprietary software systems preferred.
