Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Baltimore is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to provide accurate, well-organized and thoroughly reviewed estimates and proposals in a timely manner for residential and commercial projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Meet with home and property owners to conduct onsite inspections and scope generation
• Gathering all necessary field measurements, notes, plans, photo documentation, and materials to prepare estimates
• Communicating with clients, architects, engineers, insurance company adjusters, and consultants to confirm and coordinate all aspects of the estimate, as required and directed
• Coordinating site visits with sub-contractors to facilitate all information necessary for accurate estimates as well as coordinating site meetings/visits with clients, adjusters and consultants to adjust scope and pricing as necessary
• Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards
• Using Xactimate to write estimates for commercial & residential customers and submit to insurance for approval/payment
• Prepare and evaluate project supplements and change orders as needed
• Ability to work on multiple projects within the same time frame covering all phases of the construction process
• Build and maintain business relationships with insurance adjusters, brokers, property managers, and TPA’s

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in residential and commercial construction
• Proficient with Xactimate estimating software preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Critical thinking, analytical, organizational skills, negotiation, problem-solving and relationship building
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to work office equipment (scanner, printer, phone system, computers)
• Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face
