Construction Estimator for Civil / Heavy Highway Projects (Earthwork, Underground Utilities & Paving)

Ryan is a family owned and operated large scale sitework contractor with offices in Miami, Deerfield Beach and Stuart, Florida. This fifth generation company has built the Ryan foundation in the Civil / Sitework / Heavy Highway Industry exceeding our client’s expectation by providing them with full earthwork, underground utilities, heavy highway paving, Land Development and Infrastructure Civil engineering projects throughout South East Florida.

Our estimators review a full set of plans and provide a full scope estimate to our clients, owners and developers that includes pricing for all materials, labor and equipment for all of the Civil portion of the project. We are seeking a full time estimator to join our team. We have two positions available. One in Deerfield Beach and one in our Miami office.

Experience Requirements:

The person must be able to review civil drawings and specifications for a wide range of public and commercial projects.

• An industry related college degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in estimating civil scope of work.
• Ability to read and understand plans in various stages of design from schematic and budgetary plans to detailed take-off and pricing of 100% plans for private, public and commercial projects.
• Experience in preparing complete estimates that include material, labor and equipment.
• Ability to scope our vendors and subcontractors.
• Conducted site walk thru and progress visits.
• HCSS (Heavy Bid Software) knowledge preferred
• AGTEK or PAYDIRT Software knowledge preferred
• Analyze and estimate project changes and assist the project management division in preparing change orders.
• Good work ethic, verbal and written communication skills is a must.
• Salary will be based on experience and will be discussed at the interview.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
