The Epic EHR Training Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Epic training program for the Providence Community Health Centers (PCHC). This individual will also work closely with the PCHC Director of Recruitment to ensure EPIC training personnel are secured as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage all communication related to Epic training for all clinical staff.
  • Registration and coordination of training for all clinical staff within the Epic training system.
  • Provide direct hiring assistance to the Director of Recruitment in securing Epic training personnel.
  • Work together with PCHC vendors and PCHC Project Manager to track training and provide training status communication as required.
  • Manage relationships with the project team, third-party resources and business groups.
  • Ensure all required training for all clinical staff is maintained via the Epic Training Portal, and assist staff with timely participation in training events and online training modules.
  • Ensure all written deliverables and artifacts are communicated and stored in the appropriate repositories.
  • Hold staff accountable for completing training tasks based upon agreed timelines.
  • Assist with identifying, documenting and bringing to resolution any critical issues and risks that may impact the agreed upon schedule.
  • Manage the project change request process and facilitate the approval process for requests as needed
  • Escalate incomplete staff training tracks to appropriate management in accordance with internal policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of clinical healthcare and/or healthcare IT experience required
  • 1-2+ years of Epic Training Management experience required
  • 1+ year of direct Management/Leadership experience is required.
  • Current or past EPIC certification preferred, but not required.
  • Remote FTE position - Temp with potential for permanent status.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management.
  • Ability to lead and work under pressure; independently make decisions at the project team level and properly escalate those decisions that cannot be resolved in a timely basis

Essential Working Conditions and Environment:

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and journals and basic statistical and financial reports required. Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from patients, regulatory agencies, or members of the community is essential. Ability to write well is essential. Ability to effectively present information to staff, senior management, and community members is essential.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is required.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in situations where only limited standardization may exist is required.
