We are seeking an EPIC APPLICATIONS ANALYST - Claims in Wausau, WI at Aspirus, Inc.

The Applications Analyst is responsible for the analysis, build, testing, implementation, and support of the applications that support hospital and clinic billing workflows, claims, and remittances for a complex, integrated health system. The analyst will need to balance their work to provide day-to-day support along with completing enhancement/optimization and project work.

Ensures the system furthers the enterprise’s goal for compassionate, excellent patient care as well as supporting the Aspirus quality initiatives in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. Analysts work with others on the team to maintain an integrated medical record. Ensures adherence to the system standards while working with subject matter experts, business analysts, and super users to resolve issues and work toward a common goal. Working closely in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, matrix environment with operational partners, business analytics, trainers, and others is crucial for success.

This position can be 100% remote for the right candidate but must be willing to be to travel on-site upon request.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in an IT or Health care related field required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Will consider commensurate education and experience in lieu of degree.
• Epic experience/certification
• Candidates with revenue cycle, business analyst, and/or IT application analyst experience or new college graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle and IT processes including expert knowledge in computer usage and tools such as Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a vastly remote team environment is critical
