Parkview Home of Freeport is a beautiful retirement community located across from Krape Park in Freeport. We have been serving senior citizens in the community for over 90 years! We are seeking qualified individuals to work part time in our environmental services department. We have an opening for summer help, this will include every other Saturday and Sunday. These positions are excellent for someone that likes to keep busy and looking to earn some extra income while helping others. May pick up extra shifts seasonally to assist in covering vacations and with summer outdoor work and winter snow removal.

Duties include a indoor paper route, checking doors, cleaning various areas of the building using chemicals, mop, floor buffer, vacuum and other equipment as required, minor repairs as needed. Basic knowledge of custodial operations, building maintenance, outdoor ground maintenance along with laundry and housekeeping if needed. Must be able to follow and understand simple written and oral instructions. HS diploma or GED preferred.

Physical requirements: Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per shift. Ability to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel and reach below and above shoulder height. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Must present with a neat, clean and professional appearance.

Dependability and reliability is a must along with the ability to get along well with others.

All offers of employment are contingent upon a successful pre-employment drug screen and physical in addition to fingerprinting and background check per IL Dept of Public Health Requirements.
