Job Summary:
This position is responsible for business development and sales of consulting and project builds of fiber optic networks to Electric Coops, Small City (70,000 meters or less) Municipalities, and Tribal Communities. The initial focus will be on targets with a customer density of 7 or more customers/meters per mile. The offers to the customer base will be Grant Funding Consultation, Broadband Feasibility Studies, Broadband Business Models, Project Management, Outside Plant Engineering, Network Engineering, Business Consultation. This role will also facilitate the selling of ENTRUST Services to this customer base, either directly or by introduction of other business development/sales personnel. The focus for this will mostly on Smart Grid, Grid Modernization, and Make Ready Engineering. This role will carry an annual plan defined either by accounts landed and/or revenue level.
East Region: ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, WV, DE, MD, DC, VA, NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, MS, FL
Central Region: OH, IN, IL, KY, WI, MN, MI, IA, ND, SD, KS, NE, MO, AR, LA TX, OK
West Region: CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, NV, UT, WY, CO, AZ, NM - Possible inclusion of HI and AK
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Traveling and making numerous sales calls on an ongoing basis
  • Developing and maintaining quality relationships with clients
  • Preparing and presenting presentations to potential and existing clients
  • Assisting and participating in other business development activities as required
  • Participating in preparation of responses to RFP’s
  • Developing and presenting client proposals when appropriate
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree desired.
  • Ability to develop and present detailed financial models
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related field preferably with an electric power company or telecommunications company
  • Ability and desire to travel frequently (~50%)

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work independently across business functions
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Unquestioned business and personal integrity

Benefits:
  • Benefits & Salary: This position pays between $100,000 and $125,000 annually and is an exempt position.
  • Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident, and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
  • Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
  • May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
