Job description
- Delivers training programs and workshops to employees and managers.
- Monitors the effectiveness of training on employees using individual or group performance results.
- Being Training Specialist II collects feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation.
- Contributes to new training program design and existing program enhancements.
- Additionally, the Training Specialist II develops and creates lesson plans and training aids. May specialize in a particular subject, training program, or function of the company.
- Training programs may typically include topics such as supervisory/management training, work skills training, team building, and communications.
Deliver training & up-skilling to new and existing employees
Maintain, Update and Socialize knowledgebase articles
- Analyze current ticket trending, problems, and changes to ensure knowledgebase articles are sufficient and timely.
Work independently & effectively while maintaining positive productivity levels
Develop & maintain training documentation, aids, videos & resources.
Assess instructional effectiveness & summarize evaluation reports determining the impact of training on employee skills.
Provide training to all team members based on contractual requirements or observed needs.
Monitor training completions and ensure training assignments are completed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with management and other team members to identify potential educational gaps and develop an approach for addressing the needs of the workforce.
- Associate degree, at minimum, is required. Desired fields include MIS, Computer Science, Communications, or other relevant discipline (e.g. Technical Writing).
- In lieu of a degree, relevant experience is applicable.
- Possess 2+ years’ applicable experience in a similar, fast paced IT support environment
- U.S. Citizenship is required per Contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q Clearance.
- Knowledgeable in the ITIL process framework including concepts & best practices.
- Excellent writing, public speaking & presentation skills; technical writing background is a plus.
- Willingness & ability to quickly learn new tools, approaches & concepts
- Ability to work independently but also as a member of a team.
- Accustomed to and comfortable with working in a fast-paced & deadline-driven environment.
- Meticulous & detail oriented.
