This position will be responsible for end-to-end business process activities in enrollment – creating, controlling and improving business processes. Leads process design and projects to improve activities. Diagnoses process improvement opportunities and develops solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools such as access databases. Also responsible for department reporting, maintenance of various enrollment tools, various complex enrollment tasks, analysis and audits. Plans, conducts training and provides leadership for Enrollment assignments and projects that have enrollment wide impact. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (7:00am - 5:00pm CST). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designs, implements and tests our enrollment systems by working directly with users and their programming needs.
  • Daily technical support for the enrollment team as it relates to the various tools in enrollment.
  • Investigates problems or inconsistencies, recommending options and a course of action.
  • Maintains and updates the Knowledge central which contains all enrollment procedures.
  • Coordinates training needed for enhancements and updates to our systems.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing various tasks assigned to the enrollment analyst team.
  • Maintains the priority setting log to document priorities, establish hours for a project, creates ROIs for projects and documents accomplished projects.
  • Makes sure all system projects are done timely to ensure efficiencies and cost savings are achieved.
  • Responsible to maintain, create and improve various Enrollment Access Databases.
  • Creates monthly scorecard for enrollment including team statistics and individual report cards for production, quality, turnaround, phone calls, etc.
  • Completes RFPs, researches compliance items and creates needed work flow documents.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reading and researching solutions to problems.
  • Work on projects as assigned by leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED and 3+ years of equivalent work experience in a technical role
  • Experience navigating databases in Microsoft Access Database (Creating access databases, maintaining database, run reports, and update queries as needed)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, edit/create spreadsheets), Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work an 8 hour shift between 7:00am – 5:00pm CST including the flexibility to work occasional overtime per business need

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree (or higher) with emphasis in computer science, applied math, statistics, management information systems
  • Previous experience with VBA coding (visual basics)

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

  • Ability to plan, organize and accomplish assignments in a timely and credible manner with minimal supervision and flexibility to meet changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, written and orally, technical information to enrollment users each day and in training sessions that they lead.
  • Evidence of sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills for resolving customer concerns, processing and workflow issues and improvements.
  • Ability to deal with the legal environment to complete complex projects and assignments.
  • Evidence of ability to provide leadership and creativity to proactively anticipate customer needs and develop and sell solutions to problems.
  • Ability to thrive in a completely virtual team environment

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $21.68 - $38.56. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $23.94 - $42.40.
