We are looking to place an Engineering Planning Program Manager to provide support to the Air Forces Central Command (AFCENT) at Shaw AFB, South Carolina.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist AFCENT with managing construction projects to include development of Statements of Work, programming documents, DD 1391s, cost estimates, construction schedules, and execution phase status as work product deliverables.
  • Coordinate with deployed personnel on mission support capabilities and deficiencies at expeditionary and forward operating sites.
  • Maintain continuous contact and integrate data from War Reserve Materiel program managers, engineering functional/program managers, personnel and manpower functions, and planning and engagement functions, and any other organization required to support planning.
  • Assist in the identification, coordination, and development of AFCENT engineering-related capabilities involving AFCENT forces.
  • Coordinate and maintain liaison relationships with military and national-level agencies.
  • Provide technical expertise to the government at meetings.
  • Provide support by facilitating meetings and developing technical presentations. Meetings may include, but are not limited to, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), staff meetings, program discussions, and strategy sessions.
  • Support AFCENT at conferences and meetings to include planning, coordinating, and facilitating PMR conferences.
  • Maintain databases for specific project tracking. Collect data and compile it into files compatible with the supported location.
  • Provide deliverables including reviewing, interpreting, and defining the application of new statutory and regulatory requirements. Deliverables will include recommendations for Air Force integration of these requirements.
  • Assist in documenting program files, organizing files, organizing format for active file use, and staging.
  • Produce products and briefings in strict compliance with security classification, restrictive caveats, and dissemination directives as prescribed by Air Force USCENTCOM and AFCENT directives.
  • Travel and provide on-site and off-site support to other CONUS and OCONUS locations in the AFCENT Area of Responsibility, and maintain current passport and visa requirements as required to ensure travel to countries in support of AFCENT mission.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or architecture, or similar field.
  • 4 years of experience in an engineering, architecture, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a leadership/management position, managing tasks of subordinates.
  • Experience within the last 3 years and working knowledge of the following programs and systems: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access), SIPR Access, Automated Civil Engineer System, and SMS BUILDER.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Capable of effectively operating as a member of an engineering or joint discipline planning team.
  • Strong briefing and effective communication skills.
  • DoD SECRET clearance is required.
  • Motivated self-starters.
