Employment Specialist/Supported Employment - New Holland, PA

$16.00 - 18.00/hour

Hours: Flexible hours includes weekdays with occasional evenings and Saturdays and no Sundays

As an Employment Specialist, you will support participants providing them with one-on-one training and coaching necessary to work successfully in various business/organizational settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with one year of experience in human services preferred
• Current PA driver's license with clean driving record
• Pass pre-employment physical and PA State Police Background Check
• Pass a Lighthouse driver's test
• Lighthouse will provide training to obtain the Professional Certificate of Achievement in Employment Services from the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE)

Tasks and Responsibilities

In a company-provided vehicle:

• Meet participant in public settings during job development stage- providing job readiness assistance such as completing job applications and interview preparation
• After participant is hired, meet at participant's place of employment providing on the job coaching/training to enhance worker's success
• Maintain positive working relationships with participants, families, and businesses and serve as a liaison between the participant and employer
• Attend Individual Support Plan and/or Individual Employment Plan meetings, as needed
• Complete daily progress notes in an accurate and timely manner
• Have quarterly meetings with supervisor for performance review/goal setting implementation/coaching
• Complete annual required online trainings on Relias training platform
• Attend in-person professional development/team building trainings
• Support the mission and vision of Lighthouse Vocational Services
