The Disaster Response and Recovery division of APTIM seeks a motivated individual looking to advance their career by supporting our team of Emergency Management, and Hazard Mitigation technical experts focused on providing mission critical disaster response and recovery support to federal, state, tribal, territorial, local government and private industry customers throughout the world. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to grow their knowledge base by supporting multiple ongoing programs and gain experience across APTIM's entire disaster planning, response, recovery and mitigation platform.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Will provide planning and analysis support for projects involving:

• Policy analyses on federal, state, and local emergency management policy
• Disaster response and recovery services
• Risk/vulnerability assessments
• Hazard mitigation plans
• Emergency planning and implementation processes
• Incident-specific planning to include:
• Natural and technological disasters
• Weapons of mass destruction
• Continuity of operations/continuity of government planning
• Training and exercises for emergency management and terrorist incidents
• Position may require extended travel in support of disaster response and recovery activities
• May involve grant-writing services

Basic Qualifications:

• 0-5 years of applicable experience
• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 0-5 years of experience in emergency management or homeland security, with particular experience in risk assessment, emergency response planning, disaster response and recovery, and training/exercises
• Must have strong writing skills and well-developed presentation skills
• Must have valid driver's license
• Standard Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0730 am to 17:30 (5:30)
• May be expected to work extended hours during disaster response events
