WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER


The Email Production Specialist will be responsible for the management and implementation of all tactical elements of email production for requests received by the Centralized Email Program (CEP), which manages mass email sends for Marketing and Communication Divisions across the globe. This position will also focus on supporting the scaling of TNC’s advocacy email efforts by offering more production support for advocacy-related email needs.

The Email Production Specialist will work with various TNC Business Units to coordinate email content and audience data files for each email campaign. They will be responsible for producing HTML for email copy, sending proofs, coordinating editorial reviews, scheduling, and executing campaigns. The position will also take a proactive role in increasing the effectiveness of email advocacy efforts by working closely with local and global policy and marketing teams on strategy, timing, and technical parameters of email campaigns to improve efficiency and reduce internal production demands.

As Email Production Specialist, you will:

  • Execute end-to end email production, including building HTML, executing email campaigns, and quality assurance for emails requests.
  • Become an expert in advocacy email needs with a focus on scaling the CEP’s ability to send more localized targeted advocacy emails.
  • Manage the proofing and approval process with the email requestors as needed to gain signoff of email proofs.
  • Developing schedules.
  • Support field offices with ongoing requests as they relate to email.
  • Optimize the ability for states to execute digital advocacy campaigns and reduce both the time to market and the level of effort to do so.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local marketing staff responsible for requesting email sends.
  • Ensure email campaigns and their execution strategies adhere to industry best practices
  • Act as a liaison for email with other channels (considering impacts of email requests on needs for web, social, text/sms needs and others as applicable)
  • Monitor technical issues relating to email delivery and marketing automation.
  • Works with other team members and departments to execute projects/deliverables.

The Email Production Specialist will be part of the Marketing Technology team and will report to the Senior Marketing Technology Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years’ experience or equivalent combination.
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience building and sending emails to mass markets.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and shift focus and priorities as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects.
  • Working knowledge of digital and direct marketing, and systems required for multiple execution channels.
  • Experience in communicating effectively with internal and external audiences.
  • Experience with MailChimp, SAS, Engaging Networks or other email marketing platforms.
  • Experience with audience management and constituent relationship management systems, such as BBCRM.
  • Knowledge of email deliverability best practices.
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management experience is a plus; experience with project management software such as JIRA.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment with internal and external partners.
  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
