This position will work as a member of the Electronics team in support of our fast-paced and dynamic New and Global Repair Cryopump manufacturing operations.
The key focus is the following areas within our Electronics production line:
- Board level evaluation, repair, and assembly of electronic modules
- Functional testing, failure analysis, and rework of electronic modules
- Programming, labeling, and packaging of electronic modules
- High School Diploma, or GED
- Must have 2+ years of experience soldering PCBS- Through-hole and fine-pitch
- Must pass a soldering test
- IPC 610 and IPC J Standard Rework a plus
- Knowledge of ESD Safe Work Practices
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Experience with Oracle ERP and Agile is a plus
- Must be comfortable using a computer. Experience using Microsoft Excel required
- Must have experience with 5S, lean manufacturing
- Experience reading assembly drawings and BOM’s
- Detail oriented with good basic math skills
- Willingness to learn and follow directions
- Knowledge of MFG Standard 180
- Problem Solving
- Electromechanical assembly using various hand tools
- Ability to Follow detailed procedures, Quality inspection criteria
This role sits within Edwards Vacuum, the CTIP Product company in Chelmsford which is part of the newly formed Semi Chamber Solutions Division within Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Technique business area. It provides a complete range of Equipment and value-added services for customers in a range of applications & processes, depending on the market. The customers vary from very large global accounts to small diffuse customers. The division provides products under the Edwards brands.
