About ECU Health Chowan Hospital

ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital which provides programs and services to 110,000 people in 6 counties. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7-bed emergency department serves approximately 15,000 patients per year and team members at the facility have access to a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Position Summary

Maintains, repairs and installs electrical equipment and appliances. Installs, maintains and repairs electrical distribution systems. Assists in control circuits and fire alarms panel maintenance testing, installation and repair. Performs other duties as assigned. Note: major duties have no order to importance.

Minimum Requirements

High School, equivalent or higher

Should know how to read and interpret the National Electrical Code as well as NPFA 101 (Life Safety Code), and other codes as required.

Minimum 2 years electrical experience in hospital, commercial, industrial, or institutional setting.
