Mt Van Hoevenberg & Olympic Jumping Complex

The NYS Olympic Regional Development Authority is seeking a full-time year around Maintenance Electrician for Winter Olympic Legacy Venues in Lake Placid, NY; Mt Van Hoevenberg and Olympic Jumping Complex. This position will be responsible for a variety of electrical needs of which may include building maintenance, public recreation attractions (Cliffside Coaster, Zipline, Gondola), sport training/ competition facilities and events. The Maintenance Electrician will provide support to multiple departments.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge and skills in several of the following areas; electrical codes, services, distribution systems (up to 480V), motors, controls, low voltage systems, sports timing/ scoring, audio- visual, voice/data. Other skills levels are encouraged to apply.

This position will be called upon to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on electrical equipment and systems in an often fast-paced work environment and with a mind for safety. Must be able to read and interpret documentation, electrical prints and diagrams, acquire parts and materials. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, a positive attitude and work ethic.

This position has physical demands which require the ability to crawl, climb ladders, perform work at heights, navigate uneven grades and mountainous terrain without restriction (ie; overhead equipment, access ladders, elevated catwalks, hillside, etc.) sometimes working in extreme conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES: Demonstrated practical experience and/or documented completion of technical courses and a valid driver’s license.

COMPENSATION: Per ORDA/ CSEA wage schedule; Grade 17 (Electrician) is $24.32/ hr. Grade 18 (Electrician 2) $26.22/ hr. Pay is commensurate with skills and experience.
