Early Childhood Teacher (Child Care)

Forrestal Academy is a 5 STAR Child Care Center that is looking to help you realize your dreams of being in a high quality preschool while positively impacting the lives of children on a daily basis!

Our friendly, caring Admin team works to accommodate our teachers by providing support and flexibility to help our team as they thrive and reach goals while maintaining a healthy work and life balance. Some flexibility in hours is available to assist you with the occasional life challenges as our goal is to nurture a family style culture within our Forrestal community.

Responsibilities

• Develop a fun and creative classroom suitable for children in a child care setting.
• Use a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, art etc.) to teach children.
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem while in a child care setting.
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional conflicts in a child care setting.
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities (shapes, numbers, colors, do crafts etc.).
• Support healthy eating during meals prepared by our in-house Chef at our Kid’s Moose Café.
• Supervise children in play and nap to ensure they are always safe.
• Track children’s progress and report to Admin team and parents.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with standards for child care centers in North Carolina.

COVID Considerations

· Our beautiful child care center is always professionally cleaned and sanitized.

· We utilize the latest disinfectant technologies including Air Scrubbers and Electrostatic Disinfecting Machine (EDS) provided through a licensed trained and certified provider.

· Our Preschool Academy provides comfortable, breathable face coverings for staff, laundered for you if you choose to wear one!

· Twice daily health checks for all children and staff in the child care center.

· We do not allow sick children, and have stringent policies to help reduce the spread of germs thus keeping you healthier.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
