Brookfield Elementary School seeks a four day a week general para educator for our early childhood classroom. Candidates should have knowledge about child development, experience working with young children and preferably an Associates degree in early childhood education. Candidates must be willing to enroll in additional coursework and workshops as needed for added professional learning. Our public preschool program uses the Responsive Classroom approach, PBIS strategies and the Vermont Early Learning Standards.The program also includes a forest classroom where children spend time in each day exploring and having many wonderful adventures. Strong skills in collaboration, communication and experience with children with disabilities would be helpful. Brookfield is a wonderful rural community that values the education children receive and have close relationships between home and school. We are approximately 30 minutes from Montpelier to the north and 30 minutes to White River Junction to the south.
