Global Resource Design (GRD) currently has an opportunity for an E&I Commissioning Technician to join our growing team in Colorado. GRD has fast paced, challenging and ongoing career opportunities for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, development and commissioning Test Plans and procedures
• Verify Instrumentation end devices to the PLC or DCS system
• Verify Electrical end devices to the PLC or DCS system
• Detailed as building of P&ID’s, loop drawings, Instrument data sheets, and electrical drawing packages
• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of commissioning.
• Maintain frequent contact with client, vendors, and internal staff
• Plan, coordinate and prepare equipment or commissioning specifications
• Deliver high quality written documentation and commissioning work packages
• Field commissioning and start-up experience with a high customer service mindset

Require Skills and Experience

• Journeyman Electrician and or Instrument Mechanic. Technical Diploma is and asset for this position.
• Minimum 10 years working in industry experience.
• Applicants with experience in Oil & Gas preferred.
• Field commissioning and start-up experience.
• DeltaV, Rockwell and Honeywell DCS Programming and HMI experience would be an asset.
• Experience with specialized instrumentation such as flow meters and analyzers
• Experience with industrial calibration.
• Able to adapt to various situations quickly, while adhering to daily deadlines.
• Strong software computer proficiencies – Word, Excel Access, VB, SQL and Outlook.
• Good written, spoken and consultative skills.
• Travel approximately 100% of the time within Western Canada and United States
• Must have valid driver’s license and Passport.

Contractor rates are negotiated.
