DOOR, DOCK & WAREHOUSE PRODUCTS FIELD TECHNICIAN

Well established, family-owned and operated, Material Handling dealership, looking for a Warehouse Products Technician to join our team. This fast-paced full-time position is based out of our Pasco, Washington branch and covers the Tri-Cities and Yakima areas. We are seeking an individual who takes pride in their work and will play a key support role for the best customers in the state of Washington.

POSITION SUMMARY

The individuals applying for this position will have a strong desire to develop, work hard and be part of a great team. Warehouse Product Field Technicians look after the service and maintenance needs of Mid Columbia Forklift current and new clientele. As a Field Service Technician, you will be required to travel to local client locations, install new equipment, respond to service requests, troubleshoot equipment issues, and provide technical training on Warehouse products and installations This individual must be very receptive and capable of solving Warehouse customers issue challenges and opportunities.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EXPECTATIONS

Required:

  • Maintains a great attitude towards continuously improving & enjoys being part of a team
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with our customers
  • Physically fit and able to work with heavy equipment.
  • Able to stick and MIG weld.
  • Have construction knowledge of steel and wood framed buildings
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Mechanical and electrical (low voltage) skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Good communication and training skills.
  • Military experience a bonus

· High school diploma or GED

  • Two year Technical degree viewed as a bonus, but not required

· Two to Five year plus of experience is highly desired

· Ability to pass a Washington state background check and Motor Vehicle Record check required

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to customer callouts and field dispatches.
  • Meeting with the customer to determine the nature of the service or repair.
  • Conducting routine equipment servicing out in the field.
  • Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment failures.
  • Repairing equipment and replacing faulty parts.
  • Provide preventive equipment maintenance.
  • Provide technical training on new equipment installations.
  • Maintaining equipment in company vehicle.
  • Maintain/control of parts inventory in company vehicle.
  • Completing job reports.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support personnel with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • “Develop & Build up” the Warehouse Installation and Technical professional skill set, and experience required to be highly successful overtime.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Job Type: Full-time, 8-hour shift M-F.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
