Since 2005 East Bay Pet Care LLC has provided professional pet care to clients in Lafayette and surrounding communities. We have cultivated a remarkable client base built on mutual respect, honor, trust, reverence, and confidentiality. We service Lafayette, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, and nearby communities.

The position:

• Professional dog walker / pet sitter with the opportunity to also help East Bay Pet Care with your talents.
• If you have a passion for photography, graphic design, journalism, research, marketing, administration, technology, or community engagement, we encourage you to share your talents with us as we continue to grow our business.
• Most staff members start 10-20+ hours weekly, but opportunities can grow from there as you share your talents with us!

Currently, available shifts are:

• FRI/SAT/SUN from 7am to 1:30pm with weekend shifts from 7am to 12pm or 3pm to 6pm.

Client demand can change the schedules assigned. Additional opportunities may be available. This is a flexible job, but we prefer candidates with consistent availability that can fit most of the time blocks listed.

Compensation:

$18 - $30 / hour

$180 - $600 / week

• During the paid orientation period, you will be compensated at $17 per hour. Training may last 4-6 weeks based on your prior experience, performance, and tasks assigned (on-leash or off-leash dog walks).
• Paid remote learning from home. Incorporating videos, tutorials, and quizzes from Fetchfind.
• Client gratuity
• Mileage reimbursements (65.5 cents per mile)
• Monthly cell phone use stipend ($25 monthly)

The responsibilities:

• Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs
• Follow the client-provided care instructions, including training preferences
• Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's pets
• Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch
• Share your passion and talents with us as we continue to grow East Bay Pet Care.
• Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player
• Practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all assign

The ideal candidate:

• An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate.
• Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude with a desire to learn is just as important.
• Consideration for candidates with evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
