Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion AmeriCorps VISTA

The AmeriCorps VISTA will support the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park in our commitment to equity and justice in our organizational practices.

Role Overview: This position is made possible through the Stewards Placement Program supported by Conservation Legacy. This position helps to support the Conservancy further define our diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility policies and foster a culture of belonging within the organization.

What you'll do: The VISTA will help cultivate relationships with local school districts, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), local colleges and universities, and local equity-based organizations, with the goal of developing an Employment Pipeline that provides underrepresented candidates with access to gainful employment and non-traditional career paths. The VISTA will assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals to secure future funding to sustain both the Employment Pipeline and internal DEI efforts.

The VISTA will serve as a member of the Staff DEI committee, help to provide support with community events such as the Rhythm on the River concert series. This position will have access to advanced training and professional development opportunities.
