Summary:

Contribute to the operational effectiveness of the Division by overseeing day to day delivery of products by working with delivery driver staff to provide excellent customer service in the area's of fulfillment while working to enhance safety and maintenance of the Kent, WA fleet.

Essential Functions:
  • Oversee daily execution of deliveries by assigning delivery driver routes as required by customer's needs.
  • Work directly with Kent Operations Team to develop and execute Kent Operations goals in fulfillment, safety, maintenance and compliance.
  • Check all trucks to assure proper loading and on time delivery.
  • Communicates directly with customers on scheduling and to solving delivery problems.
  • Communicates directly with Customer Service, Merchandisers and Sales force on all daily changes or irregularities with orders.
  • Maintain and repair trucks, review and assure proper record keeping on trip records, monthly mileage reports, P.U.C. regulations and driver schedules.
Other Functions:
  • Serve will call customers.
  • Assists Operations Manager with regulatory compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations including updating medical cards.
  • Assure proper paperwork and inventory placement on RGA's.
Qualifications:
  • Class A CDL required.
  • Two years work experience working in a warehouse or driving a truck.
  • Previous experience in a management position preferred.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. Customer service oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Detail oriented, able to work with little direct supervision; well organized, with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects and effectively follow through on projects.
  • Strong critical thinking, questioning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and in an environment full of deadlines, providing accurate output.
  • Ability to operate lift equipment, reach trucks, etc.
Working Conditions:
  • Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Subject to extremes in weather and traffic conditions.
  • Participation in annual physical inventory required.
  • Frequent use of basic warehouse and delivery equipment (i.e. forklift, picker, pallet jack, etc.)
  • Warehouse, customer location and truck cab environment
