The Assistant Dispatcher is responsible for supporting Magnum operations with direction from the Terminal Manager. The primary purpose is to organize and conduct activities to assure safe, cost effective, on-time operating performance.

Pay: Up to $20 depending on experience

Location: Coon Rapids Terminal

Schedule: M-F, 1:00pm starting time

What you'll be doing for us:

• Coordinate the utilization of drivers, trucks and equipment to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers
• Communicate with and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to customer needs
• Entering accurate and complete load information into Magnum’s computer system
  
• Participate in operational and Safety meetings
• Promptly communicate any delays, issues, or concerns regarding Customer loads/requests
• Assist with projects and perform other duties as assigned.

The successful Candidate will have:

• Prior transportation experience in Truckload/Local Cartage/Broker capacity
• Ability to adapt and be flexible in an environment where priorities and load schedules are constantly changing
• High level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with drivers and customers verbally or in written/messaging format
• Knowledge of business processes, transportation and dispatch terminology
• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to participate in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Geographical knowledge of the assigned metro area and the Midwest
• Truckmate (TMW) software experience
• Familiarity with CSA principles and FMCSA regulations
• Goal oriented and able to set and achieve company or personal objectives established to ensure maximum productivity
