THE LEI STAND – Kitchen Support/Dishwasher (Part Time)

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a dedicated, organized dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The dishwasher’s duties include removing soiled plates and flatware from tables, washing them thoroughly, and helping with other back of house duties. They may also restock items, unload delivery trucks, help prepare cook stations, clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties, as needed.

To be successful as a dishwasher, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wash and put away dirty dishes and kitchen equipment
• Operate industrial dishwasher
• Maintain clean dish area
• Sweep, scrub, and mop floors
• Take out trash and boxes
• Occasionally handle small prep of food items
• Check in and put away delivery of food items and other kitchen projects
• Cleaning and breakdown of workstations
• Assist chef and Sous chef when possible
• Supporting other staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
• Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedure

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience is ok, willing to teach the right person
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Someone who wants to grow and take initiative
• Attention to detail and consistency
• Good communication
• Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.
• Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.
• Observant and thorough
• Able to handle pressure
• Responsible, punctual
• Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods and working nights, weekends, and holidays

COMPENSATION:
Our compensation package includes: Share of 3% Kitchen Fee (added fee to all food orders split among Kitchen Staff)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
