Maynards Kitchen, sister restaurant to Cup Cafe in Hotel Congress, is an award-winning destination for locals and visitors alike with an innovative hyper-local and seasonal menu that changes as often as daily. Utilizing whole animal, fermentation and international culinary techniques/ideas this position offers limitless knowledge and growth potential. With our own private label wine and vodka Maynards continues to set the bar supporting local purveyors, farmers, ranchers and food artisans.

The Maynards Kitchen is seeking a full time evening dishwasher.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure all guests receive clean plates, glassware and flatware, in a timely fashion, and according to our specifications – Every Guest, Every Time.
• Ensure all pots, pans, utensils or any item used in food preparation is cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly.
• Be knowledgeable of our dish machine operation, chemicals and their uses.
• Maintain a clean section and workstation throughout each shift.
• Practice all Pima County Health Department health codes.
• Practice all Maynards Kitchen personal hygiene and uniform standards daily.
• Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and place in appropriate receptacles.
• Adhere to and work scheduled shifts.
• Assist your fellow employees.
• Notify Chef anytime equipment falls below standard and/or requires repair.
• Never touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
• Perform opening and closing duties, checking out with the chef
• Accurately complete daily and weekly duties.
• Sincerely express core personality qualities.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Effective verbal communication
• Lifting 20-50 lbs (trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc.)
• Pushing 50-150 lbs
• Carry 20-50 lbs (trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc.)
• Must be able to have balance and maneuver throughout busy kitchen
• Need to be able to stand for long periods of time – 90% of shift minimum
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability
• Strong work ethic
