Here, your work directly supports the store mission to be the guest favorite through successfully developing and communicating the processes for operations, style and experience, new structures, new operating models and new technology, and utilizing workforce management activities for our 1,800 locations nationwide. Store Operations manages and enhances the informational resources for researching and resolving operational issues, while guiding and communicating with the field team and leaders who use them. As a Director Store Operations – Accuracy and Availability, you will build, lead, coach, and mentor a team of business partners and engineers that will bring their expertise to increase product availability and inventory accuracy in stores. The key areas of focus include: driving continuous improvement and future vision for the fill, RFID and Inventory Audit processes, scaling up and evolving the annual inventory process, influencing across the enterprise to improve data, technology, systems and processes to improve findability, availability and accuracy of products for our guests and team members.

In this role:

  • You and your team will lead stores in building, testing and scaling accuracy and availability processes and strategies in stores

  • You will influence Global Supply Chain and Logistics leaders to drive upstream process improvements that improve product availability in stores.

  • You will collaborate with several enterprise teams to ensure integration and coordination of strategies to improve product availability.

  • You will partner with Target Tech to put in place systems that help us better detect and correct inventory accuracy and availability opportunities.

  • You will partner with Inventory Accounting, HR, Finance, HQ and field leaders to operationalize and improve a new annual inventory process.

  • You will transform existing store processes like fill, audit and RFID to drive improvements in experience for both in-store and digital guest and support Target’s growth.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of leadership experience, preferably in retail, stores or supply chain

  • Strong written and verbal communication, including ability to negotiate, manage differing points of view, understand key stakeholder needs at all levels and influencing senior level leadership

  • Experience in developing a long term vision, leading organizational change management along with implementing short term solutions that simplify store processes.

  • Proven ability to lead by empowering team members through developing, teaching/training and coaching

  • Proven ability to develop and implement process and design strategies that address root cause inventory accuracy issues

  • Ability to challenge status quo and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders across the enterprise

  • Comfortable in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment

  • Experience supporting stores and/or a field organization

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience desired

  • MBA desired

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$119,500.00 USD - $215,100.00 USD.
