The Director of Sales Enablement is responsible for developing and deploying the sales enablement strategy and curriculum. This will be a highly visible role and requires someone who has leadership experience and the business acumen and communication skills to effectively build out a strategy that aligns to sales performance goals.

How You'll make an impact
  • Manage a team of Sales Enablement Managers including hiring, onboarding, and training
  • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of the sales curriculum
  • Manage the Sales onboarding program, ensuring new team members quickly achieve performance objectives. Responsibilities include clearly defining desired performance objectives, creating and managing group and individual onboarding activities to support achievement of objectives, and measuring and reporting progress
  • Use formal (classroom, e-Learning, Webinar) and informal (observation, side-by-side) interactions to educate sales teams about products, utilities, sales process, sales techniques, and promotional activities
  • Determine training needs of all sales staff by observing sales encounters, studying sales results reports, and conferring with Sales Managers
  • Collaborate with other departments in order to provide information to sales teams on product, process, and other changes/updates that may affect the sales team as part of ongoing training & preparedness
  • Participate in the development and delivery of a range of enablement activities including onboarding, continuous learning and reinforcement, annual sales kickoffs, and other enablement events
You will achieve your best if you have
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience, and 3+ years of management experience in sales/sales enablement (software/technology preferred)
  • Experience building competency and certification programs for sales personnel
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, as well as excellent consulting skills - the ability to understand business strategy and key purchasing drivers to craft effective training materials
  • Proficiency developing and executing sales training programs that accelerate performance
  • Excellent knowledge of training fundamentals and adult learning theory
  • Ability to demonstrate capabilities and value of software products in person and in virtual settings (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce.com a plus) and sales proposal/quoting software

  • Experience using learning software: Captivate, Camtasia, Brainshark, Mindtickle, SalesHood or other sales enablement tools etc.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite
