Job Title: Director, Product Line/ Solutions Management

Introduction:

Director, Product Line/Solutions Management is a key member of the solutions group management, who will effectively lead cross-product and cross solution teams, driving strategic alignment and ultimately delivering new solutions, managing the product lifecycle, enable offerings as well as managing product operations. This individual will be the Solutions Owner for SaaS solutions for Toshiba Global Commerce Solution.

You will drive the transition of Capital to Cloud/SaaS business models by formulating and efficiently implementing effective and holistic strategy that has been developed in close collaboration with Product Management, Product Development, Services and Business Leadership. You will lead product management function for Toshiba's incubation and innovation hub.

This role will be responsible for understanding retailers needs of driving transformation across their front end and play the thought leader (both internal and external) to drive strategy. This leader will be responsible for holistic solutions that enable retailers to create operational efficiencies and improve customer experience.
Externally and internally this individual will work closely with customers, partners, market analysts and internal teams, to generate cohesive VOC feedback, understand areas of opportunity, ultimately drive priorities for solutions/products and enabling solutions expansion.
Working directly with stakeholders throughout Toshiba's business, this person will promote internal alignment, transparency and will empower his/her team to execute with quality, efficiency, urgency and innovation in mind

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent combination.
  • Experience bringing new SaaS products from conception to market
  • Strong Knowledge (prefer previous hands-on experience) about computing methodologies like (but not limited to ) Serverless, Containers, etc.
  • Additionally, a technical understanding (and enthusiasm) of enterprise SaaS and the rapidly evolving landscape is critical.
  • Experience in cloud services, cloud infrastructure or cloud management
  • Experience in Managed services: Cloud and data operations, centralized management, Business operations (billing, integrations, etc.) , capacity management, scalability, monitoring/alerting, performance- maintaining uptime
  • Dynamic, articulate, energetic and self-starter personality with demonstrated ability to translate industry and customer insight into executable strategic vision
  • Proven results-driven individual with good business acumen; ability to manage forecasts, costs, and budgets to meet strategic objectives for the business
  • Solid understanding of Solutions for both software and hardware.
  • Strong communication skills, leadership skills and business acumen
  • Experience understanding the go-to market surrounding Retail solution
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in both client-facing and internal situations; can articulate industry and operational insights clearly and persuasively to all levels of executives and management, translating information to audience-appropriate levels using oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong demonstrated ability in analysis of market requirements; ability to map business requirements to solution roadmaps, with strong domain knowledge in the retail industry including competitive solutions, complementary solutions, consumer trends (omni-channel, mobility, social, etc.) and a deep understanding of retailer business needs
  • Creative, entrepreneurial thinker who can manage risks, try new approaches, and use good judgment to build and grow the business
  • Exceptional team player with proven ability to drive solutions from concept to delivery by coordinating across functional areas to plan, deliver, market, sell, and support retail industry solutions (cross-functional team leadership – current people good at explaining what is happening not making strong grounded recommendation)

Responsibilities:
  • SaaS business model -
    • SaaS business model ownership- Own the technical and market specification for SaaS offerings, including solution packaging and support level agreements. Works with other product management leaders to ensure alignment to SaaS offering standards. Work with engineering to identify what technologies (databases, DevOps tools, etc.) needs to be procured or developed for faster delivery to market. Lead the business transformation across cross-functional teams to adopt and adapt to the SAAS Model.
    • Manage all phases of PLM work and supervisory functions. Formulate Solution strategy including key levers to positively achieve results; synchronize solution strategy with broader TGCS SW, HW, and overall business strategy, working with global portfolio/strategy functions (combined with local teams) to assess and prioritize markets & portfolio offerings.
    • Drive competitive analysis and compete strategies against established players and new threats. Engage on the launch of new releases.
    • Own market definition, sizing, and segmentation
    • Initiate and own the business case for the solution
    • Drive voice-of-the-customer and market research/analysis to understand the needs of customers in the target markets/segments
    • Work with internal and external development partners (architects, UI/UX/Test) to craft the solution approach


  • Business Development- Identify complimentary 3rd party products/solutions for integration with existing and future software solutions. Serve as the SaaS subject matter expert to target customers and channel partners as well the different stakeholders within the company such as sales, product management, marketing and engineering . Develop solution pricing/licensing approach and map against customer requirements with an understanding of competitive/other factors impacting deal closure
  • Lead the development of cross functional strategies and delivery plans with other functions. Lead the global portfolio/development/services teams to translate business requirements into solution delivery plans and services/support offerings
  • Assist in ensuring monthly, quarterly and annual SaaS sales targets meet or exceed company targets along with achieving strategic personal goals/targets as assigned by sales management
  • Analyze the performance of the solutions and take preemptive actions to avoid problems and exploit opportunities. Manage and track progress against financial targets, including continuous risk assessment and mitigation
  • Help build relationships with strategic global customers. Support executive briefings and provide direct client-facing sales support for high-impact, qualified opportunities. Support execution of strategic partnerships, customer engagements, and drive new business growth. Speak at customer briefings, conferences & events, and assist selectively with strategic sales efforts. Coordinate product ideas and schedules with key customers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
