The Stocker Arts Center Director provides leadership for advancing LCCC’s cultural development cornerstone within LCCC’s mission and for curating and presenting diverse arts programming to the campus and community through the amenities within LCCC’s Stocker Center. The Stocker Arts Center Director is responsible for leading the Stocker Center team and for the administrative and operational management of the theatres, halls and art gallery within Stocker Center. The Director collaborates with other campus units to: support delivery of LCCC’s faculty, student and community productions; position Stocker Center as a facility resource for campus and community events; market Stocker Center programming to the campus and community; and engage donors and patrons in supporting LCCC’s Stocker Center. The Stocker Arts Center Director has direct line responsibility to the Vice President for Strategic and Institutional Development, theater scheduling coordinating responsibility with the Arts & Humanities Division, and facility rental coordinating responsibility with the Spitzer Conference Center. Position will be open until filled.

LCCC’s Stocker Center is a key part of Lorain County Community College’s mission to serve the educational, economic, community and cultural development needs and opportunities of students and residents across the region. Stocker Arts Center opened its doors in 1980. The 2022-2023 season marks 42 years of the Center presenting the best of the performing and visual arts as well as films for the campus and community. Over its history, Stocker Arts Center has become one of the top performing and visual arts venues in Ohio. Audiences have been treated to thousands of live performances, films, art gallery exhibits and/or community rental events. Stocker Arts Center and the Beth K. Stocker Art Gallery have repeatedly been chosen by the readers of Pulse Magazine as the Best of Lorain County winners in the categories of Best Theater and Best Gallery. Stocker Arts Center features the 984-seat maximum Hoke Theatre, two small halls: the 217-seat Lecture Hall, and the 217-seat Cinema Hall, a flexible black box called the Cirigliano Studio Theatre, a Dance Studio, a Rehearsal Hall, and the Beth K. Stocker Art Gallery.

Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Fine Arts, Theatre Production or related field; Master's Preferred.
10 years of experience successfully managing a performing, live events, visual arts center
Successful track record curating seasons that appeal to a diverse campus and community audience.
Experience expanding cultural engagement and participation in the arts
Experience in developing and managing budgets and contracts.
Proven ability to foster relationships with patron, donors, colleagues and staff
Stellar organizational and management skills
Experience with facility management
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strategic planning and organizational and management skills
