Director of Revenue Cycle Management

The Director of RCM is responsible for leading all aspects of the revenue cycle process for an ABA therapy organization. The Director of RCM manages relationship with current and new payors, oversees a team of billing specialists, and develops and implements policies, procedures, and systems as needed. The ideal candidate will understand that this position plays a critical role in helping families of children with special needs obtain the high-quality services their children deserve. The candidate will bring the same attention to detail and tenacity to managing the billing processes as we bring to treating the children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop billing team, monitor employee productivity, and provide mentorship and training as needed
  • Maintain relationships with payors and negotiate new relationships and contracts as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all payor contract provisions
  • Ensure providers are properly credentialed with payors
  • Ensure all services are properly authorized

Build and monitor systems that meet timely filing deadlines and clean claim targets

  • Oversee cash posting activities
  • Meet organizational AR targets
  • Develop policies and procedures, as well as metrics to monitor effectiveness and efficiency of all department activities
  • Work closely with other departments related to the revenue cycle process to streamline procedures to achieve the effectiveness and efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in revenue cycle management
  • Experience with both commercial insurance and Medicaid
  • Minimum 3 years experience leading an insurance billing team
  • Experience with behavioral health billing (ideally ABA) preferred
  • Experience utilizing Central Reach billing system preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Highly organized and detail oriented; strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-service / problem-solving orientation
  • Record of success in previous positions as evidenced by excellent references
  • Experience and preference for working in a high-growth environment
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently, as well as on a team
  • Possess sharp critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • High level of professionalism
  • Ability to communicate with internal staff, senior management, and external entities


Education:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration or another applicable field
  • Master’s degree a plus, but not required
